About Jeff Benton
Jeff Benton founded Benton Accident & Injury Lawyers in Dallas in 2012 to represent individuals harmed by the wrongdoing of others. He earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where he served on the Houston Law Review. After graduating, he clerked for Judge Andrew S. Hanen in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, gaining a firsthand view of how federal courts evaluate evidence and argument. Before starting his own firm, Jeff practiced at Locke Lord LLP, a full-service international law firm with more than 700 attorneys, where he handled complex civil appellate matters. He is a member of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Dallas Bar Association. In 2013, he received the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association John Howie Award for the courageous pursuit of justice in the face of adversity. In 2018, he was named one of D Magazine's Best Lawyers in Dallas. He has also served as an adjunct professor of business law at The University of Texas at Brownsville and as an Assistant Editor of the State Bar Litigation Section Report. Jeff holds an Avvo rating of 10.0 Superb and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
