About Judd Rosen

Judd G. Rosen was appointed co-lead counsel in the Surfside Building collapse case, where he obtained the largest negligent security settlement and the largest single-incident settlement in Florida history, with the security company alone paying $517.5 million into the $1.2 billion fund. He also led the negotiations between guest victims and building unit owners, a process covered by nearly every major news outlet, The New York Times, and Rolling Stone Magazine. Other high-profile cases he has litigated include the Cypress wrongful death case, Red Air Crash, BSO helicopter crash, Yucatan Bus crash, Shuckers Deck Collapse, I-95 Boom Truck rollover, Killian High stabbing case, and FIU bridge collapse. Judd and his brother Brett, as managing partners, have amassed notable courtroom results including a $35 million verdict for adult surviving children

  • a $20 million stabbing victim verdict
  • a $13 million assault victim verdict
  • a $6.1 million verdict for a plaintiff over 90 years old
  • a $6 million fall victim verdict
  • and a $5 million herniated disk verdict

Born and raised in Miami, Judd graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, where he received multiple Dean's List Awards, the CALI Award for Excellence, Dean's Certification of Achievement for Rules of Evidence, and highest honors in the Litigation Skills Program. He won the school's first-year Moot Court Competition and received the Louis Phillips Endowed Scholarship Award in spring 2000. In June 2024, he was appointed Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee. He is also a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
