About Kemar Thomas
Kemar Thomas spent years running the trial department for one of Florida's largest insurance companies before joining Goldberg & Rosen to fight for injured plaintiffs. As General Counsel of Operations at that insurance company, he managed the trial department, served as chief trial counsel, and advised the Chief Legal Officer and Vice President of Litigation on exposure in high-stakes trials. He began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County, representing indigent clients in cases ranging from misdemeanors to life felonies, and over his career has tried more than 75 civil and criminal jury trials to verdict. He earned his J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law, where he served as President of the Award-Winning Trial Team and a member of the Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, he graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Hospitality Management. He currently serves on the Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar and is a Past President of the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association.
