Andrew LaPorta

Andrew LaPorta is an attorney at Hepworth Holzer who began his career at some of Idaho's premier insurance defense firms, representing physicians and other professionals in malpractice claims and representing insurance companies sued for failing to honor their coverage obligations. That experience shaped his understanding of how insurers evaluate claims and led him to switch sides to represent injured individuals. He holds a B.S. from Brigham Young University (2011) and a J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah (2014), where his final-year work focused on medical malpractice doctrine in Idaho and Utah. He holds an AV Preeminent peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In his first year of practice, he successfully reversed a half-million-dollar judgment wrongfully entered against his client and recovered attorney's fees on appeal. He is a member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association, the Idaho State Bar (Litigation and Health Law sections), and the Utah State Bar.
