About Kurt Holzer
Kurt D. Holzer is a trial attorney and partner at Hepworth Holzer. His fellow Idaho trial lawyers selected him as the 2011 Idaho Trial Lawyer of the Year, and Best Lawyers in America recognized him as Lawyer of the Year for plaintiff's injury representation in Boise in both 2021 and 2023. He and partner Charlie Hepworth are among only two Idaho lawyers listed in Lawdragon's Leading 500 Consumer Attorneys in the United States. Kurt holds an AV Preeminent peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has appeared in The Best Lawyers in America continuously since 2015. A 1992 graduate of the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where he was a William H. Leary Scholar and Executive Editor of the Utah Law Review, he served on the Idaho State Bar's Professional Conduct Board from 1999 to 2019, was elected a commissioner of the Idaho State Bar in 2019, and completed his term as Idaho State Bar President in 2022. He received the Idaho State Bar Service Award in 2026. As trial counsel, he has obtained multiple seven-figure jury verdicts in trucking, dram shop, and premises liability cases and recovered tens of millions of dollars in settlements, including a $5 million judgment against a company after its employee drove drunk and killed a client's mother.
