About Milton DeJesus
Milton A. DeJesus is a native of Puerto Rico and a Vietnam-era Navy veteran. He attended Macalester College, double-majoring in Psychology and Political Science, then earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. He trained in trial advocacy at Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, earning the Tom C. Clark Memorial Scholarship in 1977. He has practiced immigration law and general civil litigation from Little Rock, appearing in immigration proceedings across the country and at U.S. Consulates in multiple countries. One of his immigration cases became a precedent decision before the Board of Immigration Appeals, codified in federal regulations. In 2021 he filed a Petition for Writ of Certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court in Herrera-Acosta v. Garland, No. 21-1183. He is admitted in the federal courts of Arkansas, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Texas, the 5th, 7th, and 8th Circuits, the D.C. Circuit, the Court of International Trade, the Supreme Courts of Arkansas and Minnesota, and the United States Supreme Court. He is recognized as a Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters.
