
About Kathy Ortega
Kathy Ortega is a Miami native with deep roots in the Hispanic community. She graduated from Saint Brendan High School in 2005 and earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Biological Sciences, cum laude, from Florida International University, where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Academic Honor Society and the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society. After working at Goldberg & Rosen for several years, she attended the University of Miami School of Law, then returned to the firm as an associate handling complex litigation including catastrophic injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and products liability. She is an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association and the American Bar Association. In December 2017, she passed the United States Patent and Trademark Office Bar Exam and now heads the firm's Intellectual Property practice.
