About Matthew Fleishman

Matthew Fleishman, known to clients as Matt, is a co-founder of Rosensteel Fleishman and heads the firm's civil litigation department. He represents individuals, families, and businesses across North Carolina and has recovered millions of dollars for clients both inside and outside the courtroom. He has tried cases throughout the state in matters involving car accidents, medical malpractice, and other serious personal injuries. Other attorneys regularly ask Mr. Fleishman to associate on cases involving significant injury or wrongful death. He was named Lawyer of the Year by the Mecklenburg County Bar LRS and achieved the highest and second-highest financial settlements in the history of that program.

He was selected into The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 in 2021. Mr. Fleishman was featured in the Washington Post for his commentary on the legal aspects of a fatal rodeo accident in North Carolina. Outside the office, he serves his community and sat on the Board of Directors of Hands on Charlotte for four years. He holds a J.D. from UNC Chapel Hill School of Law, an M.S. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Information Science and Telecommunications, and a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
