About George Wise

George R. Wise Jr. is a native Arkansan, born in Batesville, Arkansas. He received a B.A. from the University of Arkansas in 1975 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas in 1978. George practices in personal injury, medical negligence, and products liability litigation. He is a strong advocate for jury trial rights and has written and spoken extensively on the myths behind so-called tort reform.

He served as President of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association in 2014-2015 and has received the association's President's Award four times, its Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award in 2005, and the Roxanne Wilson Advocacy Award in 2016. He is recognized in Best Lawyers in America and has been named a Mid-South Super Lawyer for medical malpractice. In his free time, George is a member of the Arkansas Canoe Club, the Sierra Club, and the Audubon Society.
