About Matthew Hartness
Matthew E. Hartness is a native Arkansan, born and raised in Crossett. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1993 with a degree in Business Management and was named Outstanding Graduating Senior in his department. He earned his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 1995 and has been licensed in Arkansas since 1996 and in Texas since 2001. Matt concentrates his practice in personal injury, truck accident, and commercial litigation. Because he recognized that litigation can be long and costly, he also became a certified mediator to provide clients with a path toward faster resolution. The case he describes as most meaningful involved negotiating a settlement for the family of a five-year-old girl killed by a drunk driver operating a company vehicle. He is a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. Matt devotes 100% of his practice to litigation.
